101 REASONS TO VISIT TREVISO
101 REASONS TO VISIT TREVISO
Well, well, well…. we are writing, right here, right now, but honestly, we don’t want to spend the next 2 days listing 101 points…
We will try to list a lot of them, all interesting, but not 101… or maybe yes???
We’ll see ….
Ready? Off we go!!
Why do you have to come in Treviso? Because….
01 – because Treviso is Treviso
For whom are regular in Italy (or confident with Italian tradition), this claim should sound familiar. The most famous one – related to the most important Italian Song Contest – is “Because Sanremo is Sanremo” but anyway, it’s more or less the same. Treviso is Treviso, that’s it! Try and you will understand what we mean.
02 – because Treviso is very close to Venice, the one and only
Just 30 minutes driving, just 40 minutes by train or by coach or by car or by van, Treviso is really close to Venice. Well, fast (and easy) connection among the two of them.

3 – because the NY Times Travel spoke about Treviso
Oh yes, this very important magazine paid honor to Treviso, demonstrating how Treviso could be the right solution to skip Venice and discover something new and unexpected.

4 – because Treviso is cheaper than Venice
Try to compare the price (and quality) of hotel in Treviso and in Venice: any website or travel agent will easily show you the difference, and – of course – Treviso will be your choice.
5 – because Treviso is the perfect solution for any final destination
It doesn’t matter which is your idea of holiday, in Treviso you can!
Treviso is just 40 minutes from Venice (the one-of-a-kind city), and then 40 minutes from Jesolo (the beach and the nightlife) and then 2 hours and a half driving from Cortina (the pearl of the Dolomites, in the mountain). And in a short distance you can also find Brenta River and its Palladian Villas, walled cities such as Bassano del Grappa, Castelfranco and Cittadella, and this is just the beginning of fun.

PROSECCO TOURPROSECCO TOUR
? Thus, we are here to remind you that Prosecco hills are part of Treviso province, being just 30 minutes driving from Treviso itself. And don’t forget that – since summer 2019 – Prosecco hills are part of UNESCO heritage.
8 – because Treviso is the “land of joy and love”
An ancient name of this province is “marca gioiosa et amorosa” (it’s latin… in English it sounds like “joyful and loving land” and that’s true!). A lovely city, which will make you fall in love with it at the first sight. See for yourself!
9 – because Treviso is Treviso, not Venice
Many times, we find a lot of comparison among Treviso and Venice, and the only thing we can truly say is exactly this one: you can compare them, but Treviso remains Treviso, Treviso is not Venice. Once here, you will easily understand it.
10 – because Treviso has plenty of water
Treviso…. city of water, city of canals, city of rivers , city of fountains … everything concerning water, or something related to water .
The substance is: water is part of soul of Treviso, giving it an appeal which will enchant you all.
11 – because Treviso is a kind of zoo
All this water, these canals are the perfect place for many different animal such as swans, geese, ducks, trouts, nutrias (!) and also dragonflies, rabbits, goats, pigeons. We usually call all of them “people of Treviso” because they are honorary citizens, inseparable part of the town.
12 – because Treviso is a painted city
Once again, we look at the past, when we were used to speak in latin… “Urbs picta” (painted city) due to the many frescoes all around the city, on the outer and inner walls of the many and many buildings in town.
More than 600 are still now available and viewable… what an amazing show!
12b – because Treviso is superstitious
Mmmm, maybe…. why should Treviso not be?????
If you read until this point, you notice we haven’t cheat you… we honestly count 12 reasons, but now… the following number is not a lucky number for many countries….
Have you ever realized that in many planes the row number 13 (number 17 for other ones) is missing?
So, if they do, we do as well….
We stop here, for this moment… number 12b, not 13…. ok?
C U next week with a bunch of reason more?
Will we get to number 101?
Do we bet it? It’s u to you!
